Tuning a guitar is based on science. It requires a stable instrument with the following:
– an accurately cut nut
– frets that are accurately placed and properly leveled and crowned
– a well made bridge accurately placed and correctly adjusted for string spacing and height
– a properly adjusted truss rod
– pickups adjusted to the right height
– new strings properly installed and stretched in
– an accurate reliable tuner
